Isabelle Bordage, 6th Dan, started training in September 1991 in her hometown of Acadieville. Her first instructor was Sensei Francois Richard.
Sensei Isabelle received her Shodan in 1994 with Master Woon-A-Tai. In 1997, she received her Nidan at the Montreal Nationals. Master Okazaki promoted her to Sandan in 2001 in Halifax. She received her Yondan in 2005 at Master Camp in Philadelphia. Sensei Isabelle was promoted to Godan in 2011 at the Saskatchewan Nationals by Master Woon-A-Tai.
She has trained with Sensei Noel and Gilles Daigle and Sensei Dave and Janice Pyke. She has been teaching karate for over 15 years.
Sensei Isabelle has competed at the National level since 1994. She has missed only two National tournaments. Each time was due to the birth of her children.
Isabelle’s most memorable moment was earning 2nd Place in kata at the ISKF World Cup in Toronto in 2008.
