Alexandre McIntyre started training in March 2014 with Sensei Michel Gaudet at Ecole Le Sommet.

In June 2017, he was tested for Shodan by Shihan David Pyke. Alexandre has also been tested for kyu ranks by IKD Shihans Frank Woon-A-Tai, Marcel Lussier and Josef Woon-A-Tai.

He started his trainin with my Sensei Michel Gaudet and along the way has trained with Sensei Isabelle Bordage, Sensei Barry Ripley, Sensei Tony Fahey, Sensei Craig O’Neill, Sensei Fay Getson and Sensei Jen Babineau.

“During my journey, I have won 6 gold medals and 3 silver medals in Team and individual events at our yearly Maritime IKD tournaments. My most memorable tournament was when I went to an invitational Kyokushin tournament and won both the individual Kata and Weapon Kata competitions.”

“I got started training in 2014 when me and two of my best friends were looking for something new to try. We came across the Karate group that was coming to our school. My friends didn’t like it, but I absolutely loved it and it quickly became a passion of mine.”

Alexandre is an 8th grade student at Le Sommet Middle school.

Outside of Karate, he plays provincial Basketball with the Moncton Hawks Basketball Club. He also enjoy playing soccer and Ultimate Frisbee for his school.

Alexandre is quickly becoming a competent karateka.
