The Amherst Shotokan Karate Academy will hold an Instructor/Team Training class on Sunday, Feb 10. The class is open to Brown and Black Belts only. Shihan David Pyke will teach the class at 11am at the Amherst dojo. The regular 4pm class for Brown and Black Belts will be taught by Sensei Norm Robitza.
The Maritime IKD instructors met today to plan out the coming year. The organization decided to switch from three gradings to two gradings a year. These would fall in January and June, starting this June. Mount Allison dojo will have in-house gradings because of the university schedule. There will be no clinic until June 2019. […]
Dale Ross a long time student at the Amherst Shotokan Karate Academy passed away on January 11. He was rushed to Halifax earlier in the week after suffering from a cardiac event. Dale will be missed.
